"Ba de ya, dancing in September"

1. Spelling 101:

Buried = berried or berried

Horse = whorse

2. Personal Gain:

I am up to an easy average of 6 or 7 miles on my nightly runs. Once a week, I push myself to hit that ultimate limit. I am up to 9.5 miles that day. :)

3. September 11th was a very moving day for me this year. We watched an incredibly touching video montage at school- I cried unashamedly the entire time. We all wore Red, White and Blue to work. I was extra proud to be an American on Wednesday and extra, extra grateful for all of my family and loved ones.

4. AP students did not know what a "carpenter" was/did. The smart aleck teacher response in the lounge was "They have obviously never been to Sunday School before.."

5. My cousin Kate's sweet little boy turned 1 a week ago!! Beyond proud of her and Chris for raising such a cute, happy baby boy! You are an awesome mommy Kate!!!

6. Hamilton Pool near Austin is amazing! What a hidden treasure!

7. I am love loving the History Channel series MANKIND, STORY OF US ALL!!! We have watched the first 2 episodes in class and my students love them! The facts go hand in hand with our scope and sequence for class, and the graphics/stories, along with the general look and feel of the videos are incredibly life-like and have a very Hollywood movie feel.

8. I am obsessed with the song "September" by Earth, Wind and Fire. No apparent reason, but I have had this song on repeat going to and from work for the past week.

"Our hearts were ringing, in the key that our souls were singing... do you remember? Ba de ya, dancing in September..."
